Welcome to St Joseph’s Catholic College. When speaking to prospective parents I usually start with the question what do we want for our children? Our answer in St Joseph’s is that we want them to be happy and we want them to achieve to their full potential. There is also a live event for secondary students, which invites young people and authors to consider reading’s relationship with the real world.
Taking place on Friday 5th March at 10:30am – live on the World Book Day website and YouTube channel – this event is hosted by actor and podcaster Jessie Cave, and features World Book Day authors Sita Brahmachari, Jess French and Katherine Rundell.
National Apprenticeship Week - Monday 8th to Sunday 14th February
At St. Joseph’s, our mission is to give our students the very best preparation for happy and successful futures, where everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their ambitions for life. Academic qualifications are of great importance, but equally we believe that our young people should be prepared for the demands of further education, higher education and employment. Part of our Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) scheme is ensure our students are informed about all of their post-16 options, which is why we're supporting the annual National Apprenticeship Week campaign.
There are nearly 600 different apprenticeship standards across England, which cover more than 1700 different job roles. Can you guess which apprenticeship we are describing and match them up to the correct answer in this online quiz?
